Celine, a true professional with 18 years in the industry, has been welcomed by the team at Vida Hair. Celine was a finalist in the L’Oréal NZ Hairdresser of the Year Competition in 2002, 2003, 2004 and the winner in 2005. She won Esthetica magazine’s Colour Trophy for 2005, was a Schwarzkopf New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year finalist in 2006 and was the 2006 Australian Hair Expo Culture Editorial Spread of the Year winner. Celine in turn is excited about the Vida Hair system: “It’s fantastic for both stylists and clients. From the clients’ point of view, I have always believed it best that they have one person doing their hair from start to finish, from initial consultation to the last finishing touches. That’s how it supposed to be – the full service!”

 

 

Hannah has had over 7 years experience as a hair stylist in well established salons in Christchurch.The salon experience with Hannah begins with a comprehensive consultation, then professional top level service from the shampoo massage, through to street ready styled hair.Her natural cut and colouring style is always matched to the individual, giving best results that last longer. She also specializes in hair for weddings, fashion, local magazine and photography shoots.

 Training at Christchurch's Ruben Blades academy and recieving top achieving student was a fantastic start to her career.   Achievements include first place in regional competitions, finalist in Lor eal  talent spotting and highest  national achiever of the prestigious Loreal Colour Degree 2008. Alexa enjoys all areas of hair dressing both in the salon and afield doing demonstrations, photoshoots, education and weddings. Lloyd Williams

Lloyd started his hairdressing career in Christchurch at Pizzas/Metomorphis. He loved his work and also had a desire to travel and so flew to London where he worked as a stylist for three and a half years in world acclaimed Tommy Guns of Soho and Imenios in High Street Kensington. He became the leading expert in creative cutting and colouring alongside some of the world's finest leading freelance stylists. He then took his skills to Sydney, Australia where he took over a run down salon in the eastern suburbs and turned it into a booming business. Lloyd has 18 years of diverse experience in salons around the world. He's excited to be back in Christchurch, his home town with his young family.  Lloyd is happy to be working at Vida Hair, 'There are a great mix of freelance stylists at the salon; lots of talent, Vida Hair gages the right balance between providing the system yet giving a sense of freedom for stylists to choose how and when they want to work to be the best they can be for their clients.'

Sandy started her extensive hairdressing career of 17 years in the UK where she went on to opening her own boutique salon before moving to New Zealand. Over the past 10 years Sandy has continued her professional development interest by training with some of the best industry teams in the UK, Paris and New Zealand.

“I use cutting methods that work with the natural movement of the hair accompanied with the best products on the market to make everyday styling easier. I’m really looking forward to offering my clients a complete personalised service from two salon locations in Ferrymead and Manchester Street, Christchurch to best suit my clients' lifestyles and routine.”

 

Gemma Brown

Gemma has over 12 years experience as a hair stylist and has won awards both locally and nationally for her innovative work.   She specialises in hair extensions and creative colour work and notes, 'I enjoy helping clients create and keep up-to-date with everyday styling and maintainance. I love to create strong styles with an urban feel and am constantly developing fresh ideas and looking for new opportunities to bring my clients the latest looks.'  Gemma recently won 3rd place in the Wella 'Magic in Your Hands' competition for Blink FX (Vida Ferrymead) - the only salon in the South Island to be placed.

 

 

Vanessa Beattie

Vanessa, originally from Wellington, has been living in Christchurch for nearly a year now.  She has been hairdressing for over 6 years and is still passionate about her craft. She notes, ‘I love everything about hairdressing from shampooing, to a retouch, to an exciting new style and having a good conversation with my client about their day and getting to know them better.'‘Since I have been at Vida Hair, I enjoy my job even more as with the flexible hours I can give my clients the appointments they want, can spend more time with them and give them the end result they desire. I love making clients feel great about themselves as we all have bad days.’

 

Jaimee Dillon

Jaimee started her hairdressing career 6 years ago at Eclipse Hair Design and has gone from strength to strength participating in the L'Oreal Talent Spotting competition.  Jaimee has been with Vida Hair Ferrymead since January 2010 and is thoroughly enjoying her freelance status.  She notes, 'I love creating styles outside the box with a modern twist, fresh colour but still something wearable on a daily basis.  Working at Vida gives you the freedon to have lifestyle flexibility and still meet client needs'.
